Your future looks bright in these sparkling Zodiac-inspired pieces

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

According to ancient Greek myth, when Pandora opened the infamous box and made the Earth intolerable to the gods, Astraea, the star maiden and goddess of innocence and purity, was the last to abandon the Earth. She returned to the heavens, where she took her position as the constellation Virgo.

Unsurprisingly then, Virgo is considered a sign of the Earth, one of the four elements the ancient Greeks considered essential to all life. As an Earth sign, Virgos are considered grounded, as well as pragmatic, perfectionists, artistic, reliable, and kind. Since all of these traits are worthy of celebration, read on, fair maidens, to find your artistically-wrought piece destined to become your reliable companion.

Cable Cuff

Bella Cavo, meaning “beautiful cable” in Italian (doesn’t everything just sound better in a Romance language?) is designed by Kelly Waters. Her flexible, lightweight pieces are made to layer or shine on their own, like this Virgo cable cuff, where simulated diamonds stand in for stars in a simplified rendition of the constellation.

Pendant Necklace

Matt Stuller’s passion for jewelry began nearly fifty years ago at the tender age of sixteen. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a keen eye for fine design, he turned that passion into an international operation that offers award-winning designs. You can customize this pendant with your star sign, birthstone, and preferred precious metal.

Pearl Bracelet

This delicate bracelet from family-owned and operated Birzon jewelers uses petite pearls in place of the expected diamonds or gemstones to create the Virgo constellation. A design as pleasant as unexpected good news in your horoscope.

Signet Ring

Think of No 13 as a jewelry brand whose mission is gold for good. Inspired by nature and artisans around the world, the London-based studio uses recycled gold and silver and ethically-sourced gems. Diamonds represent the brightest stars of the constellation on this signet ring. (Fun fact: those stars are called asterisms).

Medallion Necklace

Self-taught designer and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist Matthew Harris hails from Jamaica and calls New York City home. Modern art inspires Harris’s work, but we would argue that pieces like this Zodiac necklace—where Virgo is represented in maiden form and encircled in pavé-set diamonds—are works of modern art.

Single Stud Earring

Designer Zoë Chicco blends her artistic vision with social values, creating every piece from her environmentally-minded, LA-based studio with the help of artisans paid an ethical wage. She designs personal-feeling pieces made to be worn for a lifetime, like this single-stud earring of the shorthand symbol for Virgo, also known as a glyph.
