The owners of Worthington Jewelers, Bob and Theresa Capace, opened their store because of the classic business need: supply and demand.

About twenty years ago, the couple noticed their town lacked a jewelry store to do repairs or replacements for their friends and neighbors of Worthington, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Bob had been working as a personal jeweler for a friend who was a wholesaler.

Bob also worked for a human resource payroll company and was connected to people in Ohio and beyond. He decided to open a jewelry store to fulfill his town’s need and grow his expertise in jewelry.

Worthington Jewelers carries over 1,300 engagement and wedding rings—the largest selection of bridal jewelry in central Ohio. All of their diamonds are AGS or GIA-certified. They carry silver and gold fashion jewelry, estate jewelry, and pride themselves on their custom jewelry design service. They also buy unwanted and broken jewelry, or they can transform unwearable items into new, heirloom-quality designs.

Bob is a people person who grew up in the days of old fashioned customer service.

He remembers going to gas stations as a child and watching the workers cleaning windshields, and checking oil and tire air pressure—for no additional fee. Bob was amazed by that level of service for an everyday task.

Those days are gone for gas stations, but Bob brings that same service approach to his business.

Committed to customer education, the staff at Worthington Jewelers will help you make informed decisions about the metals, diamonds, and gemstones used in making your jewelry. They also offer complimentary jewelry cleaning and inspections, and a full range of repair and appraisal services.

FEATURED DESIGNERS

With five children and four grandchildren, Bob and Theresa know how important it is to celebrate one another and the bonds of family.

Family-owned and operated, on any given day at Worthington Jewelers, you’ll find Bob, Theresa, or other family members on the floor ready to help you. Bob’s niece, Kathryn Givens, manages the sales floor. Longtime employee, Beth Bond, manages operations. You’ll also be greeted by more than a dozen non-commissioned jewelry consultants, designers, managers, gemologists, and goldsmiths.

SOCIAL STYLE

I love the symbolism of engagement and wedding rings. It’s always been a thrill to help couples find the perfect expression of their relationship.
— Theresa Capace
