Four Elements: March’s Aquamarine & Bloodstone

What's your birthstone? It's kind of like your birthday but in gorgeous gemstone form. It's something to celebrate. The ancient Greeks believed everything was made of four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. We believe every birthstone month deserves (at least) four jewelry wishes. Happy birthstone!

Revitalize. Rejuvenate. Renew.

Spring signals a time of renewal, and the birthstones that belong to the first month of the season are charged with appropriately vernal properties. Aquamarine, the more familiar, is said to help you find peace and tranquility, rejuvenating your mind, body and spirit. While bloodstone may be lesser known, its properties are just as positive, offering courage, energy and self-esteem.

EARTH

This necklace is a brilliant example of Todd Reed’s alternative luxury jewelry. He mixes aquamarines of various opacities and diamonds of different shapes and sizes, all set on a recycled gold pendant. The result? A stunning piece of jewelry that showcases the stones’ raw beauty.
