Four Elements: Fiery Ruby

What's your birthstone? It's kind of like your birthday but in gorgeous gemstone form. It's something to celebrate. The ancient Greeks believed everything was made of four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. We believe every birthstone month deserves (at least) four jewelry wishes. Happy birthstone!

Spark joy with July’s ravishing red birthstone

Alongside diamonds, emeralds, and sapphires, rubies are considered to be among some of the most highly-valued stones. They range from almost orange to nearly neon pink, but the classic deep “ruby red” hue is the most popular pick with gemstone lovers around the globe. Known as the “stone of love,” rubies are thought to energize and balance, as well as stimulate heart chakra.

Though a traditional favorite (rubies are popular in antique pieces and have even been found in ancient Greek and Roman jewelry), today’s designers are taking a thoroughly modern approach. Think bold, unexpected pairings, organic settings, and even options for casual, everyday wear.
