**Michael Han’s career in jewelry began in the ‘70s when he landed a job in sales at the Zale’s shop in downtown Honolulu.**
He worked his way from the bottom up, eventually opening The Wedding Ring Shop in 1987 in the Ala Moana Center. Han’s focuses are fine jewelry and even finer customer service, the latter of which emanates throughout the space in every step of the shopping process. He aims to treat customers like family—*ohana* in Hawaiian—because to him, *ohana* is everything.

The Wedding Ring Shop supports a number of organizations in the community, such as the symphony, the Hawaii Opera Theatre, and other art programs. Han and his wife are passionate about supporting the March of Dimes because of their personal experience with the premature births of their sons. Family truly is their priority in and outside of their business.
