“We like to use unusual stones like watermelon tourmalines. The Ethiopian opal has come on strong; it’s a beautiful stone that’s more affordable than some Australian alternatives. We’re able to design the piece of their dreams with that. We’ve done some amazing things with precious topaz and garnets—stuff that you don’t see on every shelf.”
