Georgian Redux

What’s old is new again

One of the most coveted historical styles influencing today’s heirlooms is Georgian, a period from the early 1700s to about 1837. Cue Kings and Queens, hair jewelry, rose cut diamonds, candlelight, and ornate metalwork. This era produced distinct, handcrafted jewelry with hammered gold and other metals haloing all sorts of gemstones. Georgian style resonates with collectors equally fascinated by history and craftsmanship. And these five designers take Georgian to the next level with pieces that bring centuries past into the current with newfangled sparkle. Think Bridgerton.
